Find your part

Search by machine model or part number

Every part number on this site is indexed below, together with the machines the manufacturer lists it against. Type the model printed on your shredder’s rating plate, or the part number off the box you are replacing.

Punctuation and spacing are ignored, so B-24, B 24 and b24 all match. Try SECURIO, Destroyit, Classic 125, PowerTEC, V-Press or a bin size such as 30 gal.

Brands we supply parts for

We are an authorized dealer for every brand we carry, which is what lets us order a genuine part against your serial number rather than guess at a substitute. The counts are the part numbers currently listed on this site; a brand with none listed is still supplied, by enquiry.

All brands

OEM or compatible? Where the manufacturer sells the part, we quote the OEM part — it is the only way a fitment can be guaranteed and the only way a machine still under warranty stays under warranty. Compatible bags, oils and general consumables are available where they genuinely fit, and we will say which one you are getting on the quote. We do not substitute a compatible part for an OEM part without telling you.

By part

Consumables and spares in the catalogue

Grouped the way a parts desk groups them. Each card carries the manufacturer part number and, where the manufacturer states it, the machines the part is listed against.

All accessories & parts

Prices and availability shown are what is live in the catalogue right now. If a part you need is missing from these lists it is almost certainly still available to order — tell us the model and serial number and we will quote it.

Part not listed

Tell us the machine, we will find the part

Cutting heads, motors, gearboxes, control boards, safety switches, rollers, castors and cabinet parts are quoted against your model and serial number rather than listed as catalogue lines. Send those two numbers and we will identify the part from the manufacturer's own breakdown.

What to include

  • Model and serial number from the rating plate
  • What the part does, or its number a photo helps
  • Quantity, and how urgent it is affects sourcing
  • Purchase order needed? say so here

This is an enquiry, not an order. Nothing is charged until you have the part number, the price and the lead time in writing and have approved them. Replies go out during parts desk hours, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 PST. If it is quicker to talk, call +1 (858) 266-0509 or email weborders@technelium.com.

Getting it right first time

Identifying, replacing and ordering parts

The four things a parts desk asks you, and why each one matters. Getting the model and serial number right is most of the job — nearly every wrong part we see ordered elsewhere was ordered against a guess.

Find your machine’s model and serial number

Every shredder carries a rating plate or a printed label giving the model, the serial number and the electrical rating. On desk-side and small office machines it is usually on the underside of the head or on the back of the cabinet. On console and central station machines look on the rear panel, or inside the cabinet door above the bin. On industrial machines and balers it is normally on the frame near the control box.

Photograph the whole plate rather than transcribing it. Model families run in long numeric series — HSM SECURIO B24 and B26, MBM Destroyit 4104 and 4105, Dahle PowerTEC 919 and 929 — and a single digit changes which bag, box and bin fit. The serial number matters too: manufacturers revise cutting heads, feed rollers and electronics mid-series, and the serial is what tells us which revision you have.

If the plate is missing or unreadable, the model is often moulded into the plastic around the feed slot, printed on the original bag or box you are replacing, or on the invoice from when the machine was bought. Any of those is enough for us to work from.

What actually wears out

On a paper shredder the consumables are the bag, the oil and — on machines that use one — the cardboard box insert or the bin liner. Those are the parts you buy repeatedly and the parts listed above.

  • Lubricant Our own guidance, and most manufacturers’, is to oil a cross-cut or micro-cut head every time you empty the waste bin, and at least monthly on a lightly used machine. Oil immediately after clearing a jam and after shredding glossy or heavily recycled stock. Use purpose-made shredder oil only — never an aerosol lubricant, a petroleum oil or a cooking oil. See how to oil a paper shredder.
  • Bags and box inserts Replace when full. Bag size is dictated by the cabinet and bin, which is why the listings above give a gallon capacity as well as a model list. Overfilling is the most common cause of a motor working against its own waste.
  • Dust filters Fine-dust filtered machines such as the Dahle CleanTEC line use a replaceable filter element. A blocked filter shows up as reduced extraction and more dust at the slot.
  • Baler consumables Strapping tape, wire and clamps are matched to the press model and to the bale it produces. The wrong gauge either fails on the bale or will not feed.

Parts we do not list online

Cutting heads, motors, gearboxes, drive belts, control boards, safety interlocks and door switches, feed rollers, castors, key locks and cabinet panels are not stocked as catalogue lines. There are too many revisions per model for a listing to be honest about fitment, and a wrong cutting head is an expensive mistake.

These are quoted individually. Send the model, the serial number and a description or a photograph of the failed part through the form above and we will identify it against the manufacturer’s parts breakdown. We will tell you the part number, the price and the lead time before anything is charged. If the repair is not economic against the price of a replacement machine, we will say so — it happens more often than you would think on machines past about ten years old.

OEM, compatible, and warranty

Because we are an authorized dealer for every brand we carry, we can order genuine manufacturer parts against your serial number. For anything mechanical or electrical inside the machine that is what we quote, and on a machine still inside its warranty it is the only thing we will quote — a non-OEM part fitted to a covered machine is normally enough to void the cover.

For bags, oils and general consumables, compatible equivalents are legitimate and often cheaper. Where we offer one we say so on the quote. What we will not do is ship a compatible part against an order for an OEM one.

Lead times and how to order

Anything listed above can be bought directly from its product page and ships within the continental United States. For a part that is not listed, use the enquiry form: we confirm the correct part number, price and lead time in writing first, then send a payment link or accept a purchase order. Lead time depends on the manufacturer and whether the part is a US stock line or comes from the factory, so we quote it per part rather than promising a blanket figure.

Government, education and other public-sector buyers: we supply on purchase order and can provide W-9, EIN and resale documentation with the quote. Tell us on the enquiry and we will attach it. If you would prefer to talk it through, the parts desk is on +1 (858) 266-0509, Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 PST, or email weborders@technelium.com.

Not sure the machine is worth repairing? The shredder finder will size a replacement against what you actually shred, and jams and overheating covers the faults that turn out not to need a part at all.
