Fellowes is a US manufacturer, and its range here is aimed squarely at home offices, reception desks and small teams — the lowest entry price of the seven brands we carry, with features designed to make the machine forgiving of people who have never read a manual.

The Powershred line (79Ci, 99Ci, 125Ci) is jam-proof cross-cut at P-4, with 9 to 9.5 inch throats, 16 to 18 sheet capacity and bins of 6 to 14 gallons. The AutoMax line adds a closing tray for unattended shredding, from the 100M and 100MA up to the 350C, 550C and 600M with trays of 350 to 600 sheets and bins up to 22 gallons. The Microshred 225Mi covers P-5 micro-cut for a small office with a compliance obligation.

At the top of the range, the Fortishred HS-440 is a DIN P-7 super micro-cut machine at 1/32 x 3/16 inch. As with any P-7 machine, sheet capacity is the price of the particle size — four sheets per pass. DIN P-7 is not the same as NSA/CSS approval; see government approved shredders if that is your requirement.
