Authorized Dealer
Shredder Master is an authorized dealer for every brand we carry — HSM, Kobra, Dahle, MBM Destroyit, intimus, ACCO/GBC and Fellowes. Every machine on this site is new stock supplied through the manufacturer's authorized channel, and carries the manufacturer's own warranty on the terms published for that model.
This page exists because it is the question behind most of the questions we are asked before a first order: if I buy from you, is this genuine, and will the manufacturer honour it? The short answer is yes. Below is what that actually means, and — just as important — what we are not claiming.
What authorized dealer status means for you
The manufacturer's warranty applies
A manufacturer's warranty is a promise from the manufacturer, and it is conditional on the machine having reached you through a channel that manufacturer recognises. Buying from an authorized dealer is what satisfies that condition. A shredder bought through an unauthorized reseller can arrive identical in the box and still sit outside the manufacturer's cover, leaving you with the reseller's own terms instead — if there are any.
Warranty length varies by manufacturer and by model, and in several ranges the cutting head carries a longer term than the rest of the machine. The terms that apply are the ones the manufacturer publishes for the exact model you buy, and we will tell you what they are before you order.
Genuine parts and consumables
Cutting heads, waste bags, bin frames, filters and lubricant are model-specific, and fitting a part that merely looks right is one of the more common ways a shredder is ruined. Using a general-purpose oil instead of shredder oil can void a warranty on its own. We supply genuine parts and consumables from the same manufacturers as the machines. If the part you need is not listed, use the spare parts request form and we will source it.
Manufacturer technical support
Being an authorized dealer means direct access to each manufacturer's technical people, current service documentation and current specification data. In practice that is what lets us answer a real question — about a duty cycle, a three-phase installation, a discontinued model or a part number — instead of reading you the same datasheet you already have.
Not grey-market stock
Grey-market machines are genuine units diverted from the market they were built for. They are usually cheaper, and the problems arrive later: the wrong voltage or plug for the US, no valid US warranty registration, documentation in another language, and part numbers that do not match the local model. Everything we sell is US-market stock bought through the manufacturer's authorized channel — not parallel imports, and not refurbished units sold as new.
What we do not claim
We would rather be exact about this than let a buyer infer something we have not said.
- We are an authorized dealer. We do not hold or claim a GSA schedule — and GSA is a purchasing schedule in any case, not a destruction standard.
- We do not claim NSA or NSA/CSS approval of this business. NSA/CSS Specification 02-01 evaluates specific shredder models onto the Evaluated Products List; it does not approve retailers. Where a model we sell is on the EPL we say so on that model's page, and you should still verify the exact model against the current EPL revision before ordering for classified work.
- We do not claim any ISO certification, manufacturer partner tier, dealer level, award or ranking. No authorization number is published here because none has been issued to us to publish.
- We do not claim to be an exclusive, sole or master dealer for any of these brands.
- For the avoidance of doubt: DIN 66399 has seven paper levels and stops at P-7. There is no P-8, and there is no such thing as an "NSA Level 8" machine.
Checking us before you raise a purchase order
If your procurement process needs our dealer status for a particular brand confirmed in writing, ask and we will put it in writing. We can be set up as a vendor on the record below, and we accept purchase orders.
