Bins and carts do two different jobs, and it is worth being clear which one you are buying for.

Secure collection consoles hold documents before they are shredded. In an office running a scheduled shred routine rather than shredding at the desk, this is where paper waits, and a lockable bin is the control that makes the interval safe. Wheeled carts handle output. A full bin of shredded paper is heavier and more awkward than people expect, and moving it to a collection point is where most back strain and most spillage happens. A four-wheel cart turns that into a push rather than a lift.

Size the collection bin to your shred interval rather than to your daily volume: if the machine is emptied weekly, the bin needs to hold a week. And check the bin opening against the documents that go in — a slot sized for loose paper will not take a lever-arch file.
