It sits under the 5009's discharge on heavy-duty casters so a full load of shred can be rolled to a baler or container instead of lifted. MBM sells it as a restricted part, supplied only for use with a 5009.

How the cart fits into a 5009 workflow

The 5009 takes hundreds of sheets per pass, so the collection step quickly becomes the rhythm of the room. With the DSH0330, each change is a planned pause: opening the cart door switches the shredder off, the full cart rolls out, and an empty one rolls in. Because that interlock is a safety feature, nobody can swap carts while the cutters are still feeding. Sites that keep a second cart on hand can have one being emptied at the baler while the other is filling.

Lining the cart is optional. The 5009's bag is AC0924, and bags are the right choice when a destruction contractor wants material bagged. Where shred is tipped straight into a baler or bulk container, many users run the cart unlined.

Cart or conveyor?

MBM offers a second discharge option for the same machine, the DSH0332 modular conveyor belt system, which carries shred out to an external container so there is no cart to change. The conveyor needs roughly three more feet of floor depth and costs more. The DSH0330 is the compact, lower-cost route.

Who should choose the DSH0330

It fits a 5009 that runs in scheduled batches and a room where shred is wheeled some distance to a baler or pickup point. If the 5009 runs for hours without a break, the frequent stops for cart changes will slow the operation, and the conveyor is likely the better investment. It will not fit any other Destroyit model.
