HSM 24 Lockable Shredder Bin - 1070070200

The 24-inch bin is the shortest member of HSM’s Shredinator collection range and the only one in it that clears a standard desk. Sixteen US gallons of lockable pre-shred storage sits in an 11 x 20 inch footprint, so it tucks into a knee well or under a counter without becoming an obstacle. Note the number in the name: 24 is the bin’s height in inches, not its capacity.

Compatible Models

This is a standalone pre-shred collection bin, not a shredder waste bin. It does not bolt to or sit under a machine, so it works alongside any shredder you already own — HSM SECURIO, HSM Classic, or another brand entirely. What it replaces is the open box or unlocked recycling tub that confidential paper sits in between the desk and the shredder.

HSM keys the whole Shredinator family alike: one key opens every HSM console, cart, Shredinator bin and PDC on your site, so a facilities team does not end up carrying a ring of twelve keys. If you already run HSM consoles, request matching keying when you order.

An optional reusable nylon liner bag (25 in L x 36 in H) fits inside on the internal bag hooks. No bag is supplied with the bin — the bin is designed to be emptied by lifting the lid and tipping, and the liner is a convenience, not a requirement.

Specifications

Buy the 24-inch if the bin has to live under a desk or counter, or if a single person generates the paper. If it is going to serve a shared copy room, go up: the 27-inch (1070070210) gives you 20 gallons and the 30-inch (1070070220) gives you 23, both on exactly the same 11 x 20 inch floor space. Buying too small is the common mistake here, because the extra capacity costs you height, not floor area.
