Which console does this fit?
The HSM 36-inch DuraFlex shred console, model DF-44-720D, sold as HSM part 1070070110. That console is 36 inches tall by 20 wide by 15.75 deep, holds 30 US gallons and weighs 48 lb. HSM's part designation for the insert, HSM-36-DF-23-Insert, encodes the 36-inch DuraFlex console it belongs to. HSM publishes no other compatible console, so check your model plate before ordering.
Will it fit my ShredVANTAGE console or a Shredinator bin?
No. The ShredVANTAGE plastic console (1070070120) and the 24, 27 and 30 inch Shredinator lockable bins are single-shell containers — there is no separate insert to replace, and this tub is not dimensioned to drop into any of them. The same applies to the 32, 65 and 95 gallon wheeled shred carts. This part exists specifically because the DuraFlex console is built as a shell plus a removable insert.
Is this the same thing as the nylon collection bag?
No, and reseller listings blur the two constantly. The insert is a rigid moulded plastic tub that sits inside the console. The Perfect Fit reusable nylon bag is a fabric liner that hangs from internal hooks inside the insert and is lifted out when full. If what has failed is a fabric bag with hooks, you want the bag. If the rigid tub has cracked, split at a corner or warped so the lid no longer seats, you want this part.
What are its dimensions?

Those figures sit inside the DuraFlex console's 36 x 20 x 15.75 inch external envelope, which is the expected relationship between a shell and its insert. HSM does not publish a separate gallon rating for the insert itself, so we are not quoting one; the console it fits is rated at 30 US gallons and up to 80 lb of documents.
How often would I expect to replace one?
Rarely. This is a structural plastic tub, not a wearing part, and in normal office service a console insert outlasts several sets of nylon bags. The usual reasons for buying one are damage rather than wear: a corner split from being dropped during emptying, or warping from being left in direct sun or against a heat source. If you are replacing inserts regularly, look at how the console is being emptied rather than at the part.
