Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I buy a second collecting trolley?
Throughput. The FA 400.2 is built for continuous operation, and the 460-litre trolley fills faster than most people expect when shredding loose archive paper. With one trolley the machine stops while it is wheeled away and emptied. With two, the operator swaps them and keeps feeding. On a shift-based shredding station that difference is measured in hours per week.
Will this trolley fit the FA 500.3?
No. The FA 500.3 has a 530-litre collection volume and uses a larger trolley, HSM article 2440111, measuring 690 x 1216 x 747 mm against this one's 570 x 936 x 947 mm. The two are not interchangeable in either direction.
Are shredder bags included?
No. This article is the trolley only. Bags are a separate consumable and should be sized to the 460-litre trolley. If you are ordering bags at the same time, tell us the machine model so we can match the part rather than sending a nominal 460-litre bag that may not suit the trolley's shape.
Does it fit through a standard doorway?
Yes in most cases. The trolley is 570 mm wide and 936 mm deep, so pushed along its narrow axis it clears a standard 762 mm or 800 mm door opening with room to spare. Height is 947 mm, which is below any normal door head. Check your own thresholds and lift dimensions before assuming, particularly if the route involves a tight corner.
