Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the infeed conveyor or the output conveyor?
Infeed. HSM's description for this article is continuous material feed into the shredder, and its catalogue name is "material feed via conveyor belt". A discharge conveyor that carries shredded output away from the HDS 230 is a separate product with a different article number. If you were quoted an exit conveyor, this is not the part you want.
Will it run on 400 V?
No. This article, 2430113, is HSM's 208 V / 60 Hz build. The 400 V / 50 Hz version is article 2430111. They are catalogued as separate parts with separate EANs, so ordering the wrong one means a unit that cannot be commissioned on your supply.
Is 208 V here single-phase or three-phase?
HSM's technical data states 208 V / 60 Hz and does not state the phase or the full-load current. Because that determines your feeder and disconnect, do not assume: ask us to confirm the electrical requirement against your site before you schedule an electrician.
How much floor space does it need?
HSM gives the unit as 517.5 mm wide and 800 mm high, and the catalogue depth is 2400 mm, so plan on roughly 0.5 m by 2.4 m of floor plus operator access along one side. Add the HDS 230's own footprint and the clearance its manual requires at the intake.
Does it fit an HDS 150?
HSM lists the conveyor against device type HDS 230 only. There is no published HDS 150 fitment for this article, so treat it as HDS 230 specific. If you run an HDS 150 and want assisted feeding, ask us what HSM currently offers for that machine rather than adapting this unit.
