Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit the SECURIO P40?
We cannot confirm that it does. HSM's model list for NB210NA3930 covers the Classic 386, 390, 411 and 412 and the SECURIO P36; the P40 is not named. The P40 does share the 58 gallon disposable bag, part 3310000015, with the P36, so the cabinets are close in size, but that is not the same as a manufacturer fitment confirmation. Ask us before ordering for a P40.
How full can I let it get before emptying?
The practical limit is what one person can carry, not what the bag will hold. Cabinets in this class hold well over 50 gallons and a nylon bag filled to the brim with micro-cut shred is genuinely awkward to move. Most sites empty at around two-thirds and accept slightly more frequent trips.
Is it the same bag as the one for a Classic 225?
No. The Classic 225 and the SECURIO B32 and B34 take part 3NB210R03330, which is a noticeably smaller bag. HSM's three reusable nylon bags step up in size across the range and none of them is a drop-in substitute for another, so order by part number rather than by how the bag looks. The model number on the plate at the back of the machine is the quickest way to confirm which cabinet you have before ordering.
What happens if the bag tears?
It is a wear part and it is not covered by the shredder's warranty. Nylon bags in this role usually fail at the hanging points rather than in the body of the bag, after repeated lifting when full. Emptying at two-thirds rather than completely full is the single most effective way to extend service life.
