Quick-link wire is the strapping consumable for HSM's larger horizontal channel baling presses, where bales are tied four-fold across the horizontal axis as they are pushed out of the channel. Each wire is 2.45 mm in diameter and 4,400 mm long. The quick-link end lets the operator close the loop by hand without a twister, which is what makes manual strapping practical on a machine producing bales of 400 to 600 kg.
