HSM part 6236 993 145 is quick-link baling wire, 2.45 mm (0.10 in) in diameter and 4,400 mm (approx. 173.2 in) long, used to tie bales on the HSM HL 4809 ST and HL 7009 horizontal channel baling presses. Its quick-link end lets the operator close each wire by hand without a twisting tool, which keeps manual tying practical on bales weighing several hundred kilograms. It is a consumable for horizontal balers only, not for HSM's vertical V-Press machines.

HSM's vertical balers use pre-looped wire of 2.8 mm with a formed loop, not a quick-link end. The V-Press 1160 wire (part 6136 993 002) is also 4,400 mm long, so the two can look interchangeable on a storeroom shelf. They are not: gauge and end fitting differ. Store them separately and reorder by part number. Because HSM gives no bundle weight or piece count for this article, check the quantity at the time of purchase if you budget per bale.
