Pre-looped wire 2,80x4400 for V-Press 1160 - HSM6136993002

This is the pre-looped baling wire for the HSM V-Press 1160, and it fits nothing else in HSM's current range. Each wire is 2.8 mm in diameter and 4,400 mm long - 700 mm longer than the wire used on the V-Press 860 - because the 1160 produces a squarer, heavier bale measuring 1200 x 1100 x up to 1200 mm and weighing as much as 550 kg. The loop is already formed, so strapping is a threading and closing operation rather than a tensioning one. HSM supplies the wire in 10 kg bundles.

Specifications

Reorder by part number 6136 993 002. The 3,700 mm wire, part 6135 993 002, looks identical in a stack and costs about the same - check the length on the label before it goes to the press. Mixing the two is the single most common ordering error on these machines, and a short wire is discovered only once a bale is already pressed and waiting to be tied.

If your V-Press 1160 was supplied with the optional polyester tape station, this wire is not your consumable - the tape station takes WG 55, part 6514 993 000. The two strapping methods are alternatives, not complements, and a machine is configured for one or the other.
