Collection: Personal & Small Office Shredders

These are the machines that live beside a desk or under it: compact, single-phase, and priced for a single user or a small team. The specifications that decide the purchase are sheet capacity, bin size and duty cycle — in that order.

Manual-feed models here run from around 6 to 20 sheets per pass with bins of roughly 4 to 10 gallons. The HSM SECURIO C-series covers P-2 strip-cut through P-5 micro-cut in the same footprint; Kobra's +1 and +2 range and the Fellowes Powershred line cover similar ground at P-4. Auto-feed models — the GBC AutoFeed+ and Fellowes AutoMax families — take a stack of 150 to 300 sheets in a closing tray and work through it unattended, which changes the economics if shredding is a chore nobody gets round to.

Two things catch people out at this size. Duty cycles are short, often ten minutes of running to thirty minutes of cooling, so a machine bought for occasional use will trip its thermal cut-out if pressed into daily service. And a small bin at P-5 fills fast, because finer particles pack less densely. If more than five people will use the machine, start at medium office shredders instead.
