A barrel press compacts empty drums — steel or plastic, typically 200 litre — so that a stack of bulky containers becomes a small volume of flat material. Sites that get through drums of oils, solvents, chemicals or food ingredients otherwise store and transport a great deal of empty space, and pay for the privilege at both ends.

The machine in this range is the HSM FP 3000, a hydraulic press built for exactly this job. Compaction happens in a contained chamber, which is relevant where drums may hold residues: the press keeps the process enclosed rather than crushing containers in the open.

Before ordering, confirm three things. The drum sizes and materials you actually handle, since press geometry is fixed. The electrical supply, as machines at this scale are typically three-phase and need an electrician before commissioning. And your residue handling procedure — drums that held hazardous material remain subject to whatever disposal rules apply to their contents, and compacting them does not change that.
