GBC AutoFeed+ Large Office Shredder, 750M, Micro-Cut, 750 Sheets

The GBC AutoFeed+ 750M is a large-office auto-feed shredder that pairs a 750-sheet locking hopper with a P-5 micro-cut head, reducing each page to 3/32 x 5/8 in (2 x 15 mm) particles. It is the biggest-capacity machine in the AutoFeed+ line that also cuts to P-5. It is built for departments that shred large volumes of personal or financial paper and work to a written security level.

How the 750M handles a full ream and a half

Load the hopper, close and lock the lid, and walk away. The auto-feed draws pages from the stack in turn, so nobody stands at the machine feeding it, and the lock keeps a half-finished batch of payroll or patient paperwork out of reach while it runs. Staples and paper clips can stay in the hopper stack. Credit cards go through the manual slot, which also takes up to 15 sheets when someone has only a few pages and does not want to open the hopper.

ACCO quotes the run time at 240 minutes. That is a long working session, but it is not continuous duty, so departments planning back-to-back hopper loads all day should schedule a break for the motor.

P-5 in practice, and keeping a micro-cut head healthy

P-5 is the first micro-cut level in DIN 66399, with particles capped at 30 mm². The 750M's 2 x 15 mm cut sits right at that limit. It is a common requirement for HR, payroll, claims and medical administration files. It is not high security in the P-6 or P-7 sense, and it is not NSA listed, so do not buy it for classified paper.

Fine particles create fine dust, so treat shredder oil as a regular consumable. ACCO's oil is part 1760049. The 37-gallon bin takes the GBC 30-gallon bags, part 1765015 (25 per box), which list the 750M by name.

AutoFeed+ 750M specifications

750M, 750X or 600M?

• AutoFeed+ 750X: the same 750-sheet hopper and 37-gallon bin, but a P-4 cross-cut of 4 x 30 mm (120 mm²) and a 20-sheet manual slot. Choose it if your policy only asks for P-4.
• AutoFeed+ 600M: also P-5 at 2 x 15 mm, with a 600-sheet hopper, 10-sheet manual slot and 29-gallon bin. It is rated at 55 dB against the 750M's 62 dB, so it is the better fit near desks.

Is the 750M the right auto-feed for you?

It suits HR, finance, legal support and clinical offices that fill several boxes a week and need P-5 without staff babysitting the machine. Look elsewhere if your policy only requires P-4, if it will stand in a quiet open-plan area, or if you need P-6 or P-7, which calls for a dedicated high-security shredder with a much smaller feed.
