The GBC AutoFeed+ 300X is an office auto-feed shredder that loads 300 sheets into a locking hopper and cuts them to DIN 66399 P-4 super cross-cut particles of 5/32 x 1 3/16 in (approx. 4 x 30 mm). A 60-minute run time lets a small department clear a full month-end or audit batch in one sitting without anyone standing over it.

An hour of running is the 300X's real advantage

On the AutoFeed+ 230X, a large clear-out can reach the 30-minute thermal limit before the hopper is empty. The 300X doubles that to an hour, and the 300-sheet hopper is matched to it, so a scheduled batch at the end of a month, a matter or an audit goes from full hopper to finished without a cool-down in the middle. It does this without any extra noise: the rating stays at 55 dB, quiet enough for an office rather than a back room.

The bin is the 300X's limit, so plan for it

The 16-gallon bin is the same size as on the smaller 230X. A bigger hopper therefore means more waste per load into the same container, and bulky cross-cut shred will fill a good share of it each time. Expect to empty the bin between loads on big days. If that is the bottleneck for your team, the 600X, with a 29-gallon bin, solves it.

Consumables are straightforward. GBC names part 1765010, its 13-19 gallon plastic bag sold 25 per box, for both the 300X and 300M. Shredder oil is part 1760049. Staples and paper clips go into the hopper as they are; credit cards use the manual slot. GBC markets this head as micro-cut, though by DIN 66399 a 120 mm2 particle is P-4 cross-cut.

Is the 300X right for your team?

It is a good fit for a small department that shreds in planned sessions and wants each one done in a single run. Choose the 300M if your policy names P-5, and the 600X if you are emptying the bin too often. It does not handle optical media and is not NSA listed.
