The HSM VK 12018 100.6+100.6 HP is the quickest fixed-speed version of HSM's largest channel baling press, using two 75 kW motors to cycle a 1,200 kN ram in 9.4 seconds at idle. HSM rates it at 837 m³/h idle and 41.85 t/h on 50 kg/m³ material, the highest fixed-speed figures it publishes for this press. It is built for high-volume recovery plants running long or continuous shifts, where a baler that falls behind holds up the entire sorting line.

Who needs the 150 kW drive, and who does not

Choose it when the baler is the bottleneck in a plant running two or three shifts on high-volume material, and a fast, wide sorting belt must be kept clear. If your line supplies less than about 25 tonnes an hour of 50 kg/m³ material, the 60.4+60.4 HP press already copes, and a top drive cycling on a half-empty chamber only adds power draw and wear on the guides.
