HSM WG 30 (part 6205 993 010) is an 8 mm polyester strapping tape on a 500 m roll, rated at 280 kg tensile strength. It is the narrowest tape in HSM's WG series and is specified for compact vertical balers such as the V-Press 503, 504 and 605, the Dixi 4S to 10S family, the 8TE and the SP 5088 shredder-baler. Order it if your press was set up for 8 mm tape.

The V-Press 503, 504 and 605 appear on HSM's lists for both WG 30 and the 11.7 mm WG 40. On those three, keep buying the width the machine is already running, because tape guides and the sealer are adjusted to one size. Measuring the current roll settles it: 8 mm means WG 30.

WG 30 or a stronger tape?

WG 30 sits at the bottom of HSM's tape ladder. The next step, WG 40, is 11.7 mm wide and rated 380 kg, and it covers bigger presses such as the V-Press 610 and 818. A press built for 8 mm tape will not accept the wider strap, so bales that burst on a small baler usually call for more straps or lighter bales rather than a different tape.

HSM does not publish the core size of this roll. If you are pricing a generic 8 mm strap, check the core against your dispenser as well as the width and rating.
