Description

PB9 is the industrial waste bag for the intimus 14.95 and 14.87, supplied as a case of 50. These are the largest machines in the intimus range that still line a container rather than bale directly, and the bag is sized accordingly.

Compatible Models

intimus North America's compatibility table for PB9 reads: 14.95, 14.87, 16.87. In our range that covers:

  • intimus 14.95 industrial shredder (6 x 50 mm cross-cut, P-3)
  • intimus 14.87 industrial shredder-baler (6 x 50 mm cross-cut, P-3)

One point of honesty on the 16.86. Our catalogue has historically listed PB9 against the 16.86 shredder-baler, while intimus's table names a 16.87. We have not been able to confirm whether these are the same designation recorded two ways or two distinct machines, so we are not going to assert that PB9 fits a 16.86. If that is your machine, contact us with the serial plate and we will get it confirmed before you order.

Not for the 16.50 — intimus states directly on this part's page that 16.50 series shredders use PB7.

On a 14.87 the baling press handles the bulk of the output, so bag consumption is lower than the machine's raw throughput would suggest. On a standalone 14.95 it is the other way round — everything the machine shreds ends up in a lined container, and bags are the limiting consumable.

Both machines are 6 x 50 mm cross-cut heads rated P-3 under DIN 66399, which produces a coarse, bulky particle compared with an office P-4 or P-5 machine. That matters for planning: bulky waste fills a container by volume long before it becomes heavy, so on these machines you are usually changing bags because the container is full rather than because it has become difficult to lift.

Order a case at a time and reorder at around ten remaining. Industrial bag parts move less quickly through the supply chain than the office sizes, so a same-week delivery is not something to count on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the 14.87 need bags at all if it has a baler?

Yes, though fewer of them. The 14.87 pairs a shredder with a baling press, and the press compacts the bulk of the output into strapped bales. Bags still serve the container side of the machine and any output handled outside the baling cycle. intimus lists PB9 against the 14.87 for that reason.

Will PB9 fit my 16.86 shredder-baler?

We cannot confirm it, and we would rather say so than guess. intimus's compatibility table for PB9 lists a 16.87; our own catalogue lists the 16.86. Those may be the same machine recorded two different ways, or they may not. Send us the model and serial from the plate and we will confirm with intimus before you commit to a case.

How many bags come in a case?

50. All the intimus industrial bag parts — PB6, PB7 and PB9 — are supplied in fifties, as against the 100-count cases used for the office-machine bags PB3, PB4 and PB11.

What is the difference between PB9 and PB7?

They fit different machines. PB7 is the 16.50 series bag; PB9 covers the 14.95 and 14.87. intimus makes the distinction explicitly on the PB9 product page. They are not interchangeable — the containers differ in footprint, and a bag that does not seat on the rim gets pulled into the waste as the container fills.
