Frequently Asked Questions
Does the intimus PB4 fit the 175 CP5?
Yes. PB4 is the bag intimus North America lists for the 175 series, and the 175 CP4, 175 CP5 and 175 CP7 all share one cabinet with a 175-liter bin. The cutting head only affects how quickly and how densely the bag fills, not which liner you need.
Why does the PB4 listing mention the 130 when some intimus tables only show 120 and 175?
Because intimus itself uses both forms. Its product title for PB4 names the 120, 130 and 175, while its specification table shortens that to the two series names. The 130 CP4 belongs to the same cabinet family and takes the PB4, so we list all three models.
How many PB4 bags come in a case?
Each case contains 100 bags and ships in a 13 x 19 x 5 in carton. intimus does not currently offer a multi-case bundle for PB4 in North America, so if you are supplying several machines, ask us for a quote on multiple cases.
Do oiler-equipped intimus 120 or 175 models need a special bag?
No. The automatic oiler lubricates the cutting cylinders and does not change the bin, so the oiler versions of the 120, 130 and 175 series use the same PB4 liner as the standard machines. Expect higher oil consumption on those models, not different bags.
Can I use contractor bags in place of the intimus PB4?
You can, but they rarely fit well. Contractor bags tend to be tall and narrow, so they do not sit on the bin rim and get dragged into the shred as it builds. A full 175-class bin is also heavy, and a split seam on the way out spills the very documents you meant to destroy.
