The Kobra 240 SC meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12 for destruction of Smart Cards, Credit Cards and Smart ID cards. The Kobra 240-SC destroys the Magnetic Stripe and the IC (Integrated Computer Chip) on the ID, Smart Card and Credit Card and meets the highest level (NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12) for card destruction and sanitization of data. The National Security Agency/Central Security Service of the United States mandates that destruction of all variations of Security Sensitive Smart Cards is performed based on requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12 for proper data sanitization. Destruction of Smart Cards/Smart ID Cards by a shredder that is cross cut is not allowed by if does not meet the requirements of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 9-12. The Kobra 240-SC produces acceptable and correct cut to comply with NSA requirements, it's perfect for Government and Commercial applications.

Kobra 240 SC classic line shredder comes with sturdy steel gears and metal chain drive system which offer reliability and resistance to wear, carbon hardened steel cutting knives unaffected by staples and clips. Motor thermal protection: 24 hour continuous duty motor without overheating and duty cycle. It can shred up to 15 sheets at a time in 3/32 inch (P-3) straight cut. Equipped with Energy Smart system with optical illuminated indicators for power saving stand-by mode, Oil-free System, automatic Start&Stop. Easy emptying operations: 9.5 gallon removable bin that does not require lifting the cutting head. The Safety stop system detects bin removal and automatically stops the cutting knives. Eco-friendly: does not require plastic bags.
