HSM SECURIO B35 1/32 x 7/16 Document Shredder - HSM1925

The HSM SECURIO B35 HSM1925 is a P-6 cabinet shredder that cuts paper into 1/32 x 7/16 in (0.78 x 11 mm) particles, about 8.6 mm² each, at nine sheets per pass. It pairs a very high security level with a 400 mm intake and a 130-liter container, so it suits research, legal and contract-driven teams that must meet DIN level 6 for real daily volumes rather than a few pages.

What P-6 means at 0.78 x 11 mm

For P-6, DIN 66399 limits a particle to 10 mm² and its width to 1 mm. The HSM1925's 8.6 mm² particle sits under both limits with room to spare, and one letter-size sheet ends up as roughly 5,700 pieces. Reassembly at that point is not a realistic threat, which is why P-6 appears in research administration, clinical trials, patent work and supplier contracts with defense customers. Even so, the induction-hardened solid steel rollers still accept staples and paper clips, which is unusual at this level and saves a de-stapling step.

Features that make a heavy machine easy to live with

The B35 weighs close to 118 lb, so HSM puts it on castors. A light barrier starts and stops the cutters, an overload-protected feed reduces jams when someone overfeeds, and a safety element guards the opening. The display warns when the container is full and shuts the machine down, and an inspection window lets you check the level early. A large door makes it easier to remove a 130-liter load. In standby the EcoSmart mode draws 0.1 W, idle noise is about 56 dB(A), and the machine is Blue Angel certified and made in Germany. Who the HSM1925 is for

It is the wrong choice for a small office: nine sheets per pass feels slow next to a P-4 machine, cards and discs need a separate route, and the warranty is three years on the machine with no lifetime roller cover. If P-5 would satisfy your requirement, you gain both speed and warranty by stepping down.
