HSM SECURIO B35 1/16 x 5/8 with External Automatic Oiler - HSM19224

The HSM SECURIO B35 HSM19224 is the P-5 version of HSM's 400 mm cabinet shredder delivered with an external automatic oiler already mounted. It cuts 1/16 x 5/8 in (1.9 x 15 mm) particles at 14-15 sheets per pass and lubricates its own rollers, which suits a shared department machine where nobody is assigned to maintenance.

Why a P-5 head benefits most from the HSM19224's oiler

A micro-cut head has many more cutting edges working on every sheet than a strip cutter, so it is the first type to lose capacity when lubrication is skipped. On a machine fed by a whole floor, oiling is the task that slides. The HSM19224 takes it off the list: the oiler doses HSM cutting-block oil onto the rollers during operation, so the cutters stay closer to their rated 14-15 sheets month after month. The only routine left is refilling the reservoir, so keep a bottle of HSM oil on the shelf next to the spare bags.

Space, weight and what else stays the same

The oiler is mounted on the side of the cabinet, which brings the width to 26.4 in (670 mm), about 50 mm more than the standard HSM1922, and adds roughly 1.4 kg. Measure the alcove before ordering. Everything else matches the plain model: the 700 W drive, a 400 mm opening that takes tabloid sheets and wide continuous forms flat, an idle noise of about 56 dB(A), and an integrated 130-liter container. Staples, clips and credit cards can be fed; optical discs cannot. Bags are sold separately as reusable collection bags in packs of 10 or 100, or you can use HSM's cardboard box insert.

HSM19224 or another B35?

• HSM1922: the same P-5 cutter without the oiler. It is narrower at 620 mm and costs less, and it is the better buy when one person already looks after the machine.
• HSM19234: the oiler-equipped P-4 B35, with a 4.5 x 30 mm cut and 21-22 sheets, for teams whose policy stops at P-4.
• HSM19254: the oiler-equipped P-6 B35 at 0.78 x 11 mm and 9 sheets, which falls outside the lifetime roller warranty.

Best fit for the HSM19224

Choose it for a P-5 requirement on a machine with many users and no owner, such as a shared copy room serving HR and finance. Skip it if your shredder sits in a controlled room under one person's care, or if space is tight enough that an extra 50 mm matters; the standard HSM1922 covers that case.
