HSM SECURIO B34 3/16 x 1 1/8 with External Automatic Oiler - HSM18434

The HSM SECURIO B34 3/16 x 1 1/8 with External Automatic Oiler (HSM18434) is HSM's P-4 departmental cross-cut shredder with an oiler mounted on the cabinet at the factory. It cuts 4.5 x 30 mm particles at 20 to 22 sheets per pass into a 100-liter bin, and the oiler keeps the cutting rollers lubricated so a shared machine does not depend on anyone's memory.

What the oiler changes, and what it does not

Cutting is identical to the standard B34 cross cut (1843113): same particle, throat, bin and 700 W drive. The difference is a reservoir on the side of the cabinet that meters HSM cutting-block oil onto the rollers while the machine runs. Without it, someone has to feed an oiled sheet through at regular intervals, and on a copy-room shredder that job is almost always skipped. A dry head loses sheet capacity well before it fails, and users tend to blame the machine rather than the missing oil.

The reservoir is a consumable system: refill it with HSM's cutting-block special oil and keep a bottle on site.

Planning space and supplies

Because the oiler bolts to the side, the footprint grows from 541 mm to 591 mm wide; depth (439 mm) and height (845 mm) are unchanged. That 50 mm can matter in a tight alcove, so measure first. The bin and bags are the same as on the standard model: HSM's reusable collection bags in packs of 10 or 100 (1410995000 / 1410995100), or a cardboard box sized for the B34. Staples, paper clips, credit cards and CDs/DVDs are all approved, and the solid steel rollers carry a lifetime warranty.
