HSM SECURIO B34 1/32 x 3/16 with External Automatic Oiler - HSM18444

This is the P-7 SECURIO B34 supplied with HSM's external automatic oiler already mounted on the cabinet. The cutting performance matches the standard model exactly - a 1 x 5 mm particle at DIN 66399 P-7, five sheets of 80 g/m2 paper per pass, into a 100-litre container rated at roughly 1,839 shredded sheets. What changes is that the cutting head, which is the most maintenance-sensitive part of any micro-cut shredder, gets lubricated whether anyone remembers or not.

• Top DIN paper level, P-7. 1 x 5 mm is 5 mm2, exactly at the P-7 limit and the finest paper destruction the standard defines. There is no higher paper level.
• External automatic oiler fitted at the factory. Meters oil onto the rollers during operation. On a P-7 head, missed lubrication shows up as poor cutting and a labouring motor long before anyone connects it to maintenance.
• 591 mm overall width. The oiler adds 50 mm to the standard B34 cabinet. Depth remains 439 mm and height 845 mm; the machine weighs 42 kg.
• 100-litre pull-out waste container. HSM rates it at approximately 1,839 shredded sheets at this cut, the largest capacity figure in the B32/B34 family.
• 700 W motor and 310 mm feed opening. Shared with the rest of the B34 line. Letter, legal and tabloid all feed short edge first.
• Paper only. Rated F-3 and P-7 by HSM. Cards, optical discs and metal fasteners are outside its scope.

What's in the Box

The HSM SECURIO B34 arrives assembled: the cutting head and cabinet are a single unit, with the 100 l (26.4 gal) waste container in place behind the cabinet door, plus the mains lead and the HSM operating manual. The external automatic oiler is mounted on the cabinet at the factory; nothing needs assembling on site.

Shredder bags and HSM's fitting cardboard waste box are consumables and are not included — order them with the machine if you do not intend to empty the container loose. We could not confirm from HSM’s published documentation whether a filled oil bottle ships with the unit, so add HSM shredder oil to your order and use HSM’s own oil rather than a generic lubricant.

Who Should Buy This — and Who Should Not

This is for a controlled destruction point - a secure records room, a government or defence contractor site, a research facility - where P-7 is mandated, several people use the machine, and nobody is going to own a shredder maintenance schedule. In that setting the oiler is not a convenience feature; it is what keeps a costly cutting head working.

Do not buy it if a single, conscientious user will operate the machine and you would rather spend the difference elsewhere. Article 1844113 is the same shredder without the oiler and 50 mm narrower. Do not buy either version for general office paper: five sheets a pass with staples removed by hand is unworkable for volume, and the P-4 or P-5 B34 models handle that far better. And do not treat P-7 as NSA approval - we have not verified an NSA Evaluated Products List entry for this model, and NSA/CSS 02-01 requires both the particle size and the listing.
