HSM SECURIO AF350 3/16 x 1 1/8 AutoFeed Document Shredder

The HSM SECURIO AF350 3/16 x 1 1/8 is a P-4 cross-cut autofeed shredder with a 350-sheet tray, the largest HSM fits to a desk-side autofeed machine. It cuts 4.5 x 30 mm particles, takes 12-14 sheets through the manual slot and is the only AF350 rated for CDs, DVDs and credit cards. It is aimed at offices that batch their shredding and whose policy is set at P-4.

Fewest interruptions on the AF chassis

This is the configuration for an office that wants to load paper and leave it. With 350 sheets in the tray and 12-14 sheets per manual pass, both batch jobs and walk-up documents move quickly. Since it shares its cutting head with the AF150 and AF300 at the same cut, the extra money goes on tray capacity and the taller cabinet that houses it. A full tray takes the 35-liter bin to roughly 85% of its 415-sheet rating, so in practice each full load is followed by a bag change.

Discs, cards and confidential paper in one machine

Its O-3 and T-4 ratings mean old discs and expired access cards can go through this machine instead of a separate media shredder; feed them singly through the 9.45 in (240 mm) manual slot, never inside a paper stack. P-4 suits general confidential material, but policies covering health records, account details or special-category HR files often require P-5. The induction-hardened steel rollers accept staples and paper clips and carry HSM's lifetime roller warranty, with 3 years on the machine.

Upkeep and placement

P-4 particles create less dust than micro-cut heads, so oiling every few bin changes with HSM shredder oil, followed by a short reverse cycle, is enough. No automatic oiler is fitted. Bags are bought separately: HSM 1661995050, 100 per pack at 530 x 340 x 1000 mm, shared with the B22, B24, AF150 and AF300. The 610 W motor uses a standard outlet, idles near 56 dB(A) and starts and stops automatically. Check the 32.95 in height before planning to slide it under a worktop.
