HSM SECURIO AF300 1/16 x 5/8 AutoFeed Document Shredder - HSM2092

The HSM SECURIO AF300 (model 2092) is a P-5 autofeed document shredder that cuts paper into 1/16 x 5/8 in (1.9 x 15 mm) particles and clears up to 300 sheets from its tray without anyone standing over it. A manual slot accepts 8-10 sheets at a time for urgent single documents. It is aimed at offices where personal or financial records pile up and get destroyed in one sitting rather than a few pages at a time.

How the 300-sheet tray changes a P-5 workflow

Fine-particle shredders are usually slow to feed by hand, because each pass is limited to a handful of sheets. The AF300 sidesteps that: you fan a stack, drop it in the tray, close the lid and walk away while the machine pulls sheets through one by one and stops when the tray is empty. What P-5 covers, and what this head will not take

P-5 is the class many privacy policies name for regulated personal data. The full rating on this head is E-4, F-2, P-5 and T-5, which adds credit cards (through the manual slot, one at a time) and film to paper. There is no optical media class, so CDs and DVDs belong in a different machine. The solid steel, induction-hardened rollers are rated for stapled and clipped paper, and HSM backs them with a lifetime roller warranty because this is a P-5 model; the machine itself carries a 3-year warranty.

Bags and oil for the AF300

Bags are not supplied. HSM lists part 1661995050, sized 530 x 340 x 1000 mm and sold 100 to a pack, which is shared with the SECURIO B22, B24, AF150 and AF350. Oiling is manual with HSM shredder oil; there is no automatic oiler, and a P-5 head benefits from regular attention because fine dust gradually reduces sheet capacity.

Choose it if your team batches sensitive paper and wants P-5 without spending time feeding a slot. Look at the AF150 if volumes are small and steady, at the P-4 version if you also destroy discs, and at a larger-bin model if a single 35-liter bin per load will slow you down.
