HSM SECURIO AF150 1/16 x 5/8 AutoFeed Document Shredder - HSM2082

The HSM SECURIO AF150 1/16 x 5/8 (HSM2082) is a P-5 micro-cut autofeed shredder: load up to 150 sheets, close the lid and it reduces them to 1/16 x 5/8 in (1.9 x 15 mm) particles without anyone standing by. A manual slot takes 6-7 sheets, and waste drops into a 9.2-gallon (35-liter) pull-out bin. It suits small teams that handle personal or highly confidential paper and want P-5 in an office-sized machine.

P-5 that feeds itself

A micro-cut head does a lot of cutting per page, so hand-feeding a P-5 machine six or seven sheets at a time is slow. The tray removes that chore: a 150-sheet pile goes in and is worked through unattended, while the manual slot stays free for a single page or a card. HSM rates the bin at roughly 432 sheets of P-5 waste, close to three full trays, which is a well-balanced ratio for steady small-office use.

DIN 66399 caps P-5 particles at 30 mm², and this head produces 28.5 mm². That is the class many organizations specify for payroll, health or legal paperwork. CDs and DVDs are not on the accepted list for this configuration.

Bags, oil and placement

Bags are optional and sold separately; HSM lists part 1661995050, a pack of 100 measuring 530 x 340 x 1000 mm that also fits the SECURIO B22, B24, AF300 and AF350. Fine micro-cut dust builds up on the rollers, so oil them by hand with HSM shredder oil at regular intervals; there is no automatic oiler. The 395 mm wide cabinet fits under many worktops and runs from a standard outlet.

If you clear large piles at once, the AF300 P-5 saves reloading; if your paper is ordinary business correspondence, the P-4 AF150 shreds more sheets by hand; and if a contract names P-6, the AF150 1/32 x 7/16 is the version to look at.
