HSM Pure 740 3/16 x 1 1/8 with External Automatic Oiler - HSM23734

Take the Pure 740's 400 mm feed opening and P-4 cutting head, then remove the one maintenance task offices reliably fail to perform. That is what this version is. The external automatic oiler lubricates the cutting rollers from a reservoir mounted outside the cabinet, on the machine's own schedule, without anyone having to feed an oiled sheet through the throat.

For a shredder that will be shared by a department, this is the variant that makes sense. Diffuse responsibility and manual lubrication do not coexist. Everything else - 21 to 22 sheets at 80 g/m2, a 145 litre bin, 700 W, around 56 dB(A) idle - matches the standard Pure 740 exactly.

Who Should Buy This — and Who Should Not

This is for a department of ten to fifteen people where the shredder belongs to everyone and therefore to no one. If you have ever walked past a shared shredder and wondered when it was last oiled, this is the version to buy. The wide throat also makes it the right P-4 choice for teams handling mixed or oversized paper.

There are cheaper right answers in some cases. If a single named person owns and maintains the machine, the standard Pure 740 is the same shredder for less. If 310 mm of throat is plenty, the Pure 630 with external automatic oiler gives you the same cut and the same oiler in a narrower cabinet. If bin changes rather than lubrication are your bottleneck, the Pure 740 max carries 240 litres with the oiler fitted as standard. And if your policy requires P-5, none of these three reach it - the Pure 740 max 1.9 x 15 mm or the Pure 830 1.9 x 15 mm do.
