HSM Pure 630 3/16 x 1 1/8 with External Automatic Oiler - HSM23634

The HSM Pure 630 with external automatic oiler is a P-4 cross-cut floor shredder (DIN 66399) that cuts 4.5 x 30 mm particles, accepts 20-22 sheets per pass and lubricates its own cutting rollers from a pump mounted on the cabinet. It is the Pure 630 to choose for a shared departmental machine, where everyone uses it and nobody takes responsibility for oiling it.

Why shared shredders benefit most from an oiler

When a shredder belongs to everyone, maintenance belongs to no one. A particle-cut head run without oil does not fail overnight; it loses capacity month by month until a machine rated for 22 sheets struggles with far fewer, then it starts to jam. HSM's advice for the plain 630 is to oil at each bin change, which is exactly the task that gets skipped. On this version a pump meters oil onto the rollers during operation, so the rated capacity holds over the years. Your only job is to keep the reservoir filled with HSM cutting-roller oil, and because the reservoir is on the outside of the cabinet that takes no tools and no access to the cutting head.

The oiler does not alter the cut. Particles measure 4.5 x 30 mm, within the 160 mm² ceiling DIN 66399 sets for P-4, suitable for HR, payroll and client records. Credit cards, CDs and DVDs, staples and paper clips are within specification. The 130-liter bin takes about 1,590 sheets; the machine stops itself when it is full and reverses the rollers if a stack is too thick. Idle noise is around 55 dB(A), and the cabinet rolls on castors. Bags are not included, so order 130-liter liners and a supply of oil together.

If a single person will oil the standard 630 every bin change, save the difference. Choose the 740 if wide documents are routine, and a P-5 model if your policy calls for P-5.
