At 20.75 x 15.35 x 23.19 in (527 x 390 x 589 mm) it is the largest carton HSM lists for the Classic line, holding roughly 32 US gallons (121 liters) gross, so a 390 can work through a records clear-out without constant emptying.

Telling the Classic 390 box apart from the 125 and 225 cartons

All three Classic boxes are made from the same plain brown corrugated board and are hard to distinguish once folded. The 390 carton is much too large for the Classic 125 cabinet (part 1270995200) or the Classic 225 cabinet (part 1340995200). HSM assigns one box per device type, so match the number on the machine plate to the part number.

Emptying a floor-standing Classic 390

Lifting a loaded 390 carton straight up out of the cabinet is awkward for one person. Sliding it out onto a cart is easier on the back. Keep a folded replacement next to the shredder so the swap takes a couple of minutes. Spares fold without tape or tools and can stand upright behind the machine. HSM publishes neither a weight nor a rated volume for this part.
