Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this box so shallow?
Because the Classic 125 cabinet is shaped that way. At 382 mm wide, 569 mm deep and 275 mm high the carton is a wide tray rather than a bin, which is what fits under the cutting head of that chassis. A deeper box from another HSM model will not close the cabinet.
Will it fit a Classic 225 or 390?
No. The Classic 225 takes article 1340995200 and the Classic 390 takes 1365995200; both are much taller boxes. HSM assigns one carton per device type in the Classic line, so check the model plate on the machine before ordering.
Is the Classic 125 still supported?
The Classic range predates the current SECURIO line, and HSM still lists this collecting box against device type 125, which is why it remains orderable. Availability of other Classic 125 spares varies. If you are replacing consumables often on an ageing machine, it is worth asking us what the current equivalent shredder would be before you keep buying parts.
How much waste does it take?
HSM lists dimensions rather than a volume. The external figures work out to roughly 60 litres, about 16 US gallons, and because the box is shallow it looks full sooner than a tall carton of the same capacity. Expect to level the shreddings by hand occasionally to get the full use of it.
