Why is the HSM Classic 125 box so low?
The Classic 125's waste compartment is a long, low space under the cutting head, so its carton is shaped like a tray: 382 mm wide, 569 mm deep and just 275 mm high. A taller box from another HSM shredder would stop the cabinet from closing.
Does the 1270995200 box fit a Classic 225 or 390?
No. The Classic 225 uses part 1340995200 and the Classic 390 uses 1365995200, and both are much taller cartons. HSM assigns one box per Classic device type, so read the plate on your shredder before you order.
What capacity does the Classic 125 collecting box have?
HSM gives dimensions only. From the outside size the carton works out to about 16 US gallons (60 liters). Because it is shallow, it tends to look full early, so leveling the shreddings occasionally helps you fill it completely.
Can I still get parts for the HSM Classic 125?
This collecting box is still listed by HSM for device type 125, so it remains available to order, though production runs are small. Other spares for this older model vary in availability, and we can suggest a current equivalent shredder if parts become a recurring cost.
