MBM DSH0364L 2604 super micro-cut 1/32" x 3/16" (.8 x 5 mm)

The MBM DSH0364L is the Destroyit 2604 fitted with a super micro-cut head that reduces paper to 1/32 x 3/16 in (0.8 x 5 mm) particles, the P-7 level of DIN 66399. It takes 6 to 8 sheets per pass, runs on an ordinary 115 V outlet and sits in a compact wooden cabinet on casters. It is built for small offices that must destroy a modest amount of highly sensitive paper to the strictest standard.

What the P-7 particle buys you

DIN 66399 limits P-7 particles to 5 mm² with a width under 1 mm. At 0.8 x 5 mm, this head lands inside both limits, so a page becomes confetti that cannot realistically be reassembled. That is the level written into policies for R&D files, legal matters, investigations and defense-related work. Bear in mind that P-7 is a DIN rating, not an NSA listing; if your contract requires an NSA-evaluated shredder, confirm the exact model on the agency's list yourself.

The cost of that particle is speed. Making so many more cuts per page means the same cabinet and motor that handle 23-25 sheets with a P-4 head manage only 6-8 here.

Built-in care for a fine-cut head

Very fine shafts jam quickly if they run dry, so the DSH0364L oils itself automatically. Electronic Capacity Control shows how close a stack is to the limit before you feed it, which is useful when the margin between a clean pass and a jam is a sheet or two. A transparent SPS shield covers the opening, the motor cuts out when the door is opened or the bin is full, and after 30 minutes idle the machine cuts its power draw entirely.

Owning the DSH0364L

The bin works without liners; if your disposal process prefers bags, they are sold separately as MBM AC0920. Because super micro-cut waste packs densely, the 26-gallon bin holds a lot of paper. MBM's published warranty for this configuration is 1 year on the cutting shafts and wheels and 1 year on other parts, excluding wearables, which is shorter than the shaft cover on Destroyit cross-cut models. Remove all staples and clips: the head is rated for paper alone.
