The MBM DSH0300L is the strip-cut Destroyit 2503, a floor-standing shredder that cuts 3/16 in (4 mm) strips at DIN 66399 P-2 and takes 19-21 sheets of 70 g/m² paper per pass. A 10.25-inch throat and a 20-gallon bin make it a departmental machine, and it is the only 2503 that MBM approves for CDs and DVDs. Why the bin, not the stack, is the reason to step up

A strip-cut 2465 takes nearly the same handful per pass, so the 2503 is not really about speed. What changes is capacity around the cutters: the bin goes from 9 to 20 gallons and the throat widens from 9.5 to 10.25 inches. Those two numbers decide whether a shared shredder gets used willingly or avoided because it is always full. The extra width also forgives documents pushed in slightly crooked.

Where a P-2 floor machine belongs

Think print room or back office: misprints, outdated manuals, superseded internal reports, old presentation decks, plus a drawer of legacy discs. A 4 mm strip still leaves a readable column of text, which is why P-2 is the wrong grade for customer, patient, employee or financial records.

Order bags with the machine; lifting 20 gallons of loose strips out of a cabinet unlined is awkward. Oil the shafts at the interval in MBM's instructions, more diligently if you feed discs regularly, as optical media wears the cutters harder than paper.
