The MBM DSH0070 is the Destroyit 2465 with a 3/16 x 1 1/2 in (4 x 40 mm) cross-cut head, giving P-4 security under DIN 66399 and 13-15 sheets of 70 g/m² paper per pass. Its 0.75 HP motor runs at 27 ft/min, it accepts staples and credit cards, and it rolls on castors in a cabinet about the size of a bedside table. For a small office that needs P-4 and has several people shredding, it is the most balanced pick in this family.

Why P-4 is the practical sweet spot

Most commercial destruction policies settle on P-4. A 4 x 40 mm particle is fine enough that reconstruction of ordinary business records is not a realistic concern, and coarse enough that the machine stays quick and the bin is not filled with airy confetti. Going finer costs throughput; going coarser is hard to defend if a document with personal details ever goes astray.

What separates the 2465 P-4 from the 2445 P-4

Both produce the same particle through a 9.5-inch throat. The 2465 swaps the 0.5 HP motor for 0.75 HP and nearly doubles cutting speed, from 14 to 27 ft/min, lifting the stack from 11-13 to 13-15 sheets. It also rides on castors and weighs 58 lb against 53 lb. If the two are close in price, the extra motor here is the better value.

Power cuts out when the bin is full or the door is opened, and the hardened steel shafts are milled at MBM's Balingen factory. Bags are not included, and the shafts need oil at MBM's specified interval. The castors mean you can wheel the cabinet to the recycling point rather than carry the bin.
