A finer P-4 particle than most office machines

DIN 66399 allows up to 160 mm² at P-4. The 2265's 3 x 25 mm particle measures 75 mm², under half that ceiling, so its rating has real headroom. Compare that with the many P-4 machines, including larger Destroyit models, that cut 4 x 40 mm and land right on the limit. For HR notes, client letters, bank statements and similar personal paperwork, that is a comfortable margin.

Built like a professional machine, sized for one desk

The 2265 is housed in a wooden cabinet, not a molded plastic shell, and its shafts come from the same hardened steel MBM uses in its bigger shredders. A photocell starts the motor when paper enters and stops it afterward. The EASY-Touch control groups standby, stop and reverse in one illuminated element. A transparent flap covers the throat, and a magnetic switch cuts power as soon as the bin is pulled out. A window in the cabinet shows the fill level, so you can check without opening the door.

After 30 minutes without use, the machine disconnects itself from the supply instead of idling. At 52 dB(A) at idle, it is quiet enough to sit beside a phone.
