KOBRA AF.1 C4

The KOBRA AF.1 C4 is an oil-free auto feed cross-cut shredder that shreds up to 300 sheets per tray load to DIN 66399 P-4, producing 0.15 x 1.57 in (3.9 x 40 mm) particles. Its cutting system runs without lubricant, so there is no oil to buy and no oiling schedule to keep. It is aimed at shared offices, branches and small practices that need P-4 and want a shredder no one has to maintain.

An auto feed shredder with nothing to top up

Many shared shredders fail slowly because nobody oils them. The AF.1 C4 removes that risk: its P-4 head is designed to work dry, so there is no oil bottle, no automatic oiler reservoir and no low-oil warning. That is the main difference from the AF.1 C2 AO on the same chassis, whose finer P-5 head needs an oiler. For most commercial privacy policies P-4 is the required level, and this machine reaches it with the least upkeep in KOBRA's auto feed line.

Tray and manual slot

A stack of up to 300 sheets of 80 g/m² paper goes into the tray; lighter 70 g/m² stock fits 350. Close the lid and the shredder works through the stack alone. Take staples and clips out of anything going into the tray, and feed stapled sets through the 260 mm (10.25 in) manual slot instead, which accepts 18–20 sheets at 80 g/m² or 20–22 at 70 g/m². The same slot takes credit cards, films and, one at a time, CDs and DVDs, which must never go in the tray. The full DIN rating is P-4, O-3, T-4, E-3, F-1.

Size and placement

The cabinet is 21.2 x 17.2 x 43 in (53 x 43 x 109 cm), small enough for a copy area or beside a desk, and at 56–58 dB(A) it suits shared space. It weighs 103 lb (47 kg), so plan its spot before delivery, and leave space for the lid above and the bin to slide out at the front. Bags are not supplied.

Is the AF.1 C4 the right choice?

It is a good fit for a P-4 office that wants to empty a week's confidential paper in one tray load and never think about oil. It is not the answer for P-5 requirements, for industrial volume, or for workflows where nearly every document is stapled.
