MBM AC0924 1 case (4000 ss extra large, 4105 cross-cut, 4106, 5009

AC0924 is the heavy-gauge shred bag case for MBM's largest Destroyit machines — the 4106, the cross-cut 4105, and the 5009 high-capacity shredder. MBM lists this bag at roughly twice the film thickness of its office-machine bags, which is what a 65 to 79-gallon load of cross-cut particles demands.

Compatible Models

Destroyit 4105 in cross-cut configuration, 4106, and the 5009 in both its old and new bin styles.

Three sizes carry the AC0924 number. The 79-gallon bag, 40 x 58 inches flat, is for the current 5009. The 75-gallon bag, 42 x 56 inches flat, is for the old-style 5009 bin. The 65-gallon bag, 52 x 58 inches flat, is for the 4105 cross-cut and the 4106. The two 5009 bags are close enough in size that the only reliable way to order is by bin style, not by eye.

This product's title also mentions the 4000SS in extra-large configuration. That is not an AC0924 bag: MBM assigns the 4000SS extra-large bin an 88-gallon bag under part number AC0901. If you are buying for a 4000SS, order AC0901 and say "extra large" on the order.

Specifications

Bags are a convenience item on most Destroyit machines rather than a requirement: MBM's own literature notes that the bins on several of these models do not need a disposable bag. A bag keeps shred dust off the cabinet interior and makes emptying a one-person job.

If your 5009 is fitted with the modular exit conveyor belt system, you may not need bags at all — that accessory discharges into an external container and removes the bag change from the routine entirely.
