Description

MBM AC0901 is one case of plastic shred bags for MBM's larger office and high-capacity Destroyit shredders: the 3105, 3803, 3804, 4000, 4000SS, 4001, 4002, 4003, 4004, 4005, 4011, 4012, 4202, 4605 and 4606. The standard bag holds 56 gallons and measures 40 x 48 in flat. MBM uses the same part number for an 88-gallon extra-large bag for the 4000SS, so quote your exact model when ordering.

AC0901 key facts

  • Standard size: 56 gallons, 40 x 48 in flat
  • Extra-large size for the 4000SS: 88 gallons, 54 x 75 in flat
  • Sold as 1 case; MBM does not publish the bag count
  • Case weight 15 lb (34 lb for extra-large)

Picking the correct size

Because two very different bags share the AC0901 number, include both the model and its bin configuration on your order. Most listed machines, including the 4003, 4005 and 4606, use the 56-gallon bag. The 88-gallon version is only for the 4000SS extra-large configuration. If you are using a generic bag instead, match the flat size rather than the gallon figure: the bag has to fold over the bin rim and still reach the floor of the bin.

Do Destroyit bins need bags?

On several of these machines, MBM designs the bin to work without a disposable bag. A liner is still useful: it keeps shred dust out of the cabinet, stops fine cross-cut particles escaping as you carry the load, and lets one person lift out a full bin's worth of waste.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which shredders take MBM AC0901 bags?

AC0901 is listed for the Destroyit 3105, 3803, 3804, 4000, 4000SS, 4001, 4002, 4003, 4004, 4005, 4011, 4012, 4202, 4605 and 4606. Most of these use the 56-gallon bag measuring 40 x 48 in flat.

Does AC0901 come in more than one size?

Yes. MBM sells a 56-gallon bag, 40 x 48 in flat, and an 88-gallon extra-large bag, 54 x 75 in flat, under the same AC0901 number. The extra-large size is for the 4000SS. Give your model and bin configuration when ordering to get the right one.

How many bags are in a case of MBM AC0901?

MBM lists the pack only as 1 case and does not publish a bag count. If you need the exact number for a purchase order, ask before ordering so the current count can be confirmed with the distributor.

Can I use AC0901 bags on a Destroyit 4108?

No. The 4108, along with the 4104, strip-cut 4105, 4107 and 4109, takes AC0922 bags. The 4106, cross-cut 4105 and 5009 take AC0924. An AC0901 bag will not seat correctly on those bins.
