The intimus 14.95 (698964) is a free-standing industrial shredder that cuts 6 x 50 mm particles to P-3 under DIN 66399 and takes up to 120 sheets of 80 g/m² paper per pass through a 440 mm (17 in) opening. A 4 kW three-phase motor moves roughly 325 kg of paper an hour into a collection container, with no baling press. It is a fit for organizations moving from scattered office shredders to one central destruction point.

Metered feeding through an internal conveyor

Inside the 14.95, a conveyor belt and dosage paddles regulate how much paper reaches the cutting head at once. That is what turns a 120-sheet rating into something an operator can rely on all shift, rather than a figure reached only with perfectly squared stacks. File folders, crumpled paper, tabloid sheets and mixed piles go in without sorting, and staples and paper clips can stay attached. Automatic reverse, overload protection and a bin-full sensor with automatic shutoff mean the machine does not need constant supervision.

Fitting the 14.95 into a building

At 32 in wide, the 14.95 rolls through standard doorways on its castors, which is unusual among machines with this capacity. It still needs a 220 V three-phase supply, and at 61 dB(A) idle it belongs in a mailroom, plant room or dedicated shredding area. Running a cross-cut head at this rate creates a lot of paper dust, so if people will work nearby, add dust extraction when you order.

Options and consumables

The standard machine does not include an emergency-stop bar, automatic lubrication or dust extraction; all are options. intimus lists the APU 100 suction system as item 303101, cutting-block oil as item 96946 (5-liter container) and a reusable collecting bag for heavy-duty shredders as item 99969.

Who should buy the 14.95

Buy it for a shared-services floor, records center, returns mailroom or small commercial shredding business destroying general business paper at P-3. Look elsewhere if loose shred is expensive for you to store and haul (the 14.87 bales it), if your policy calls for P-4 or higher, or if you have no three-phase power.
