This is the fastest way to run the 16.86 chassis, intended for overprints, returned catalogs, obsolete stock and other paper with no confidentiality requirement.

Compared with the 6 x 50 mm build of this frame, the coarse head lifts capacity from 290 to 450 sheets and hourly output from about 480 to about 550 kg. The trade is security. DIN 66399 lets a P-2 particle reach 800 mm², and a 700 mm² strip can leave words legible. Treat this version as a volume reducer for paper that would cause no harm if pieced together, and send anything carrying names, accounts or commercial detail to a finer machine.

Running a shift on the 16.86 P-2

The operator tips material onto the integrated conveyor, which feeds the intake at a comfortable standing height. With the head moving roughly 550 kg an hour and bales weighing 60-80 kg, the press fills quickly, so plan clear space at the discharge end, a pallet or cart for finished bales and spare strapping tape within reach. Bales can be tied twice to hold together in transport, and compaction cuts the waste volume by up to 70%. Auto-reverse clears misfeeds; an emergency stop bar, transparent safety curtain, lockable master switch and dust extractor round out the safety kit.

Tape is sold separately in 300 m (item 80804), 400 m (item 80662) and 500 m (item 80661) rolls; the longest roll means fewer stops. The automatic oiler draws on intimus cutting-block oil, item 96946 in a 5-liter container, also bought separately.
