The DAHLE CleanTEC 51522 is a P-5 micro-cut department shredder that reduces each sheet to particles of about 2 x 15 mm and accepts 16 sheets of 20 lb paper per pass into a 38-gallon bin. What the 51522's P-5 cut means for regulated records

DIN 66399 allows a P-5 particle no larger than 30 mm². The 1/13 x 9/16 in cut on this machine comes to roughly 28 mm², inside that limit and less than a quarter of the area left by the P-4 head of the 51514 in the same cabinet.
