KOBRA 260 TS C2 AO

The KOBRA 260 TS C2 AO is a P-5 micro-cut office shredder from KOBRA's Touch Screen Line that cuts paper to 1.9 x 15 mm and oils its own cutting head through a built-in automatic oiler. A second, separate cutting unit with its own 4.8 in (123 mm) slot and bin destroys CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs and chip cards, so plastic never reaches the paper knives. It is a good fit for HR, medical, legal and finance teams that share one machine and work under a P-5 policy.

Two cutting units in one cabinet

Most office shredders feed discs and cards through the paper cutters, which mixes plastic into the paper waste and adds wear to the blades. On the 260 TS C2 AO, the paper goes through a 10.25 in (260 mm) throat to the P-5 head, while discs and cards use the 123 mm slot and fall into a smaller, separate bin. Both waste streams can then be recycled properly. The media unit is rated O-1, T-2, E-2, which defeats casual reuse but is not the fine destruction classified optical media requires.

Automatic oiling and the touch screen

A 28.5 mm² particle sits inside the 30 mm² limit for P-5, and cutters that fine wear quickly without lubrication. The AO system doses oil onto the head during operation, so your only task is refilling the reservoir; oil and bags are not included. The touch panel shows bin status, jams and operating mode in place of indicator lights. The 3/4 HP motor is rated for 24-hour continuous duty, and standby engages after about eight seconds of inactivity. The full rating for the paper head is P-5, T-5, E-4, F-2.

Size and placement

The cabinet measures 16 x 14.4 x 40 in (40 x 36 x 100 cm) and weighs 77 lb (35 kg), arriving assembled on castors with both bins fitted. At 54-55 dB(A) it is suitable for an open-plan area, close to the level of normal conversation.
