The intimus 130 CP4 225254P1 is a P-4 cross-cut cabinet shredder with the biggest bin in intimus's 310 mm-throat office family: 135 liters (approx. 36 gallons) under a 3.8 x 36 mm cutting head that takes 25 sheets per pass. This build includes the automatic oiler package. It is for departments whose real complaint is how often the shredder has to be emptied, and who would rather not rely on anyone remembering to oil it.

Fewer bag changes, not faster shredding

The 100, 120 and 130 CP4 all run one cutting head at one speed. What the 130 buys is room: 135 liters between bag changes instead of 100 or 120, in the same 21.3 x 15.7 in footprint, at the cost of extra cabinet height and 2 kg. If your current shredder fills every day and that is the problem, this is the step that fixes it. If stack size per pass is the bottleneck, a larger bin will not help, and a large-office model such as the intimus 175 CP4 is the better direction.

Why a big bin and an oiler belong together

A shredder that is emptied less often is also opened and looked at less often, which is exactly how manual oiling gets forgotten. intimus North America's warranty requires the cross-cut cylinders to be lubricated as the manual specifies, and missing it can void cover, including the lifetime limited guarantee against cylinder fracture. The oiler package handles that automatically. Apart from the oiler, the 225254P1 is mechanically the same as the plain 130 CP4 (225154).

Security and everyday handling

Particles of 136.8 mm² sit well inside the 160 mm² P-4 limit, the level most commercial, personnel and customer records require. The i-Control switch handles start, stop and sleep on its own, a front load gauge discourages overfeeding, and auto-reverse clears jams. Staples and clips can stay in; discs, plastic cards, floppy disks and foil are accepted occasionally.

Where the 130 CP4 sits in the range

Choose the intimus 120 CP4 (120 liters) or 100 CP4 (100 liters) if bin size is not your issue; they cut identically for less money. For P-5 or P-7, the intimus 120 CP5 and 120 CP7 use finer heads with smaller bins and lower sheet counts. Good fit, poor fit

A good fit for a department at a copy or print station that fills bins quickly and has no one assigned to maintenance. A poor fit under a desk, since the cabinet is waist-high, or anywhere a policy names P-5 and above. Waste bags are not included.
