Why the oiler matters on the 100 CP4

intimus backs its commercial cabinets with a lifetime limited warranty against cutting-cylinder fracture, but the warranty policy also requires cross-cut cylinders to be lubricated as the manual describes, and skipping it can void coverage. On a machine used by a whole team, oiling is the task that quietly stops happening. The oiler package takes it out of human hands, which protects the warranty and helps the head keep taking full 25-sheet stacks instead of jamming at half that. Mechanically, everything else matches the plain 100 CP4 (224154).

Day-to-day use of the 100 CP4

An i-Control switch starts the cutters when paper is detected, stops them afterward and drops the machine into sleep mode between users. A dynamic load sensor on the front shows how much of the head's capacity the current stack is using, and automatic reverse backs out an overfeed. US Letter and A4 enter the 12.2 in throat flat in either direction; legal and tabloid sheets fit only fed lengthwise. Staples and paper clips can stay in, and CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, plastic cards, floppy disks and foil are accepted in occasional amounts between paper runs. The sealed cabinet sits on castors, so one person can roll it to a new spot on a level floor.

100, 120 or 130: which intimus CP4 cabinet?

All three share this 3.8 x 36 mm head, the 310 mm throat and the 25-sheet rating. What changes is bin size and height: the 100 holds 100 liters in a 35.4 in cabinet, the 120 CP4 holds 120 liters, and the 130 CP4 holds 135 liters in the tallest cabinet. If your policy calls for P-5 or above, look at the intimus 120 CP5 (1.9 x 15 mm) or the NSA/CSS-listed 120 CP7 instead.

Is the 100 CP4 with oiler right for you?

It suits an HR office, clinic, finance team or branch office that destroys personal and financial paper daily and wants the lowest-maintenance P-4 cabinet with the smallest footprint. If bags fill more than once a day, step up to the 120 or 130 for fewer changes. It is not approved for classified material, and it is not built to serve a whole floor or clear archive backlogs.
