Frequently Asked Questions
Which shredder is this bag for?
In the current Dahle range, the PowerTEC 909 HS industrial shredder, which has a 68-gallon waste volume. That is the only Dahle machine sitting in the 56 to 70 gallon band. The bag will also line any third-party industrial cabinet of comparable capacity, provided the 24 x 26 x 60 inch bag shape suits the cabinet's internal dimensions.
Is this bag stronger than the smaller Dahle bags?
Yes. The 20736 is 2 mil plastic, where the 20723 through 20726 are all 1.5 mil. The extra gauge is there because a bag holding up to 70 gallons carries far more weight and is dragged over a deeper cabinet rim. It is still not as heavy as the 4 mil 20737 used on the largest machines.
Can I use the 31-55 gallon bag in a 909 HS instead?
No. The 20726 is both too small in capacity and too short for a 68-gallon industrial cabinet, so it would pull off the rim and drop into the bin as it filled. It is also a thinner 1.5 mil film. Use the 20736 for the 909 HS.
How many bags come in a box?
100 bags per box. There is no smaller pack at this part number. Given the size of machine these suit, a box represents a substantial run of change-outs, though a 909 HS on continuous confidential-waste duty will move through them faster than most sites expect.
Does the box weight shown elsewhere look wrong?
Our catalogue previously carried a box weight of 0.25 lb for this item, which is clearly an error for 100 heavy-gauge bags of this size. Dahle does not publish a shipping weight for the 20736, so rather than guess we have removed the figure. Contact us before shipping if you need an accurate weight for a freight booking.
