What size shredder bin does the Dahle 20723 bag fit?
It fits bins rated 8 to 10 gallons. The bag measures 12 x 24 x 12 inches and its gusseted sides let it fill out the full width of a small rectangular bin. Any shredder in that size class can use it, whether or not it is a Dahle.
Is the 20723 the right bag for a Dahle 52214 or ShredMATIC SM 300?
No, both of those shredders have 11-gallon bins, just above this bag's range. The 20724, which covers 11 to 19 gallons, is the correct part for them. A 20723 would sit short of the rim in an 11-gallon bin and slip down as the bin filled.
How many 20723 bags are in a box?
Each box holds 200 bags and weighs 6 lb. That is the largest count in the Dahle bag range; the mid-size bags come 100 per box and the biggest, the 20737, comes 50. There is no smaller pack under this part number.
Do Dahle PaperSAFE shredders need the 20723?
No. PaperSAFE models such as the PS 100, PS 140, PS 240, PS 260 and PS 380 are designed for the bin to be tipped out directly, without a liner, so no bag is required for them.
Can I use an ordinary trash liner instead of the 20723?
You can, but you will usually get less into it. A plain flat liner of the same nominal size does not open into the corners of the bin the way a gusseted bag does, so it fills sooner. A liner that is too small can also slip off the rim and spill shred into the cabinet.
