Dahle's oil-free shredders are built to run dry and gain nothing from oil. That group covers the 50310, 50314, 50410, 50414, 50464, 50514, 50564 and 52214, the CleanTEC® 51314, 51414, 51464, 51514 and 51564, the ShredMATIC® auto-feed models and all PaperSAFE® units. For the PowerTEC® 747 CS, use the high viscosity 20719 oil.

Working with gallon bottles

Pouring from a gallon jug straight into a feed opening is hard to control. Fill a small squeeze bottle for hand oiling, or use the gallon directly to refill EvenFlow Lubricator® reservoirs. Apply a thin line across the entire opening, then reverse the shredder briefly to spread it. Keep sealed bottles upright in a cool place, and buy to match how fast you actually use oil, since Dahle publishes no shelf life.
