Description

Dahle's PowerTEC® 929 CB is the discharge conveyor for the PowerTEC® 929 IS, the largest shredder in the Dahle industrial range. Its distinguishing feature is the belt: at 21.5 inches wide it matches the 929 IS throat exactly, so a full-width feed of shredded material lands on the belt without banking up at the transfer point. Output is lifted to a 46-inch delivery height and released into a bin, gaylord or baler, which is what allows the 929 IS to be run as a continuous-duty machine rather than one paced by bin changes.

Compatible Models

  • Dahle PowerTEC® 929 IS Conveyor Shredder — the only compatible machine

The 929 CB will not serve the PowerTEC® 919 IS; that machine takes the narrower 919 CB with its 16-inch belt. Neither conveyor fits the 909 HS.

Worth noting when comparing the two conveyors: the 929 CB is the shorter and wider of the pair (83.25 inches long against the 919 CB's 92.25) and its discharge sits four inches lower, at 46 inches. If you are feeding a tall baler hopper, measure before ordering — the delivery height is fixed, not adjustable. Check too that your receiving container fits beneath the discharge end without fouling the conveyor legs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 929 CB interchangeable with the 919 CB?

No. The 929 CB has a 21.5-inch belt sized to the PowerTEC 929 IS throat, while the 919 CB has a 16-inch belt for the 919 IS. The frames and power connections differ as well, and each conveyor plugs into its own parent machine. Ordering the wrong one leaves you with a unit that cannot be connected, so match the conveyor to the shredder model rather than to the application.

Does the conveyor need its own power connection?

No. It plugs directly into the PowerTEC 929 IS and runs from that machine's 220 V supply, so no extra circuit or electrical work is required. This matters on the 929 IS in particular, which already calls for a 220 V three-phase 50 amp feed; you are not adding a second heavy supply to the machine room.

How high does it discharge, and can that be adjusted?

The delivery height is 46 inches and it is fixed. That suits a standard roll-off bin or gaylord placed under the discharge end. If your baler hopper lip sits above 46 inches you will need a ramp or a different receiving arrangement, so measure the receiving container before ordering rather than after delivery.

What does it weigh and can it be moved?

The conveyor weighs 276 lb and sits on rolling casters, so two people can reposition it on a level floor once it is uncoupled. It is not something to move routinely, and the 929 IS itself weighs over 3,000 lb, so the practical approach is to fix the layout at installation and leave it. Plan delivery access for an item over six and a half feet long.

Is the belt speed variable?

Yes, output speed is adjusted by dial, with a published rating of 49 ft/min. Dahle does not state the full range above and below that figure, so we cannot quote minimum and maximum speeds. In use, a slower belt gives a more even drop into a baler and a faster one clears the discharge during high-volume runs.
