Description

The PowerTEC® 919 CB is the output conveyor built for one machine: the Dahle PowerTEC® 919 IS industrial shredder. It replaces the 45-gallon internal waste bin as the destination for shredded material, carrying output up a 16-inch rubber belt and dropping it from a 50-inch delivery height straight into a roll-off bin, gaylord or baler. The point is uninterrupted running: with the conveyor fitted, the operator is no longer the bottleneck created by stopping to empty a bin.

Compatible Models

  • Dahle PowerTEC® 919 IS Conveyor Shredder — the only machine this unit is designed for

The belt width matches the 919 IS throat, both at 16 inches. The larger PowerTEC® 929 IS takes the 929 CB instead, which has a 21.5-inch belt; the two conveyors are not interchangeable.

Dimensions (L x W x H) 92.25 x 25.75 x 50.5 in
Weight 276 lb
Power Plugs directly into the PowerTEC® 919 IS (220 V) — no separate supply or circuit needed
Noise level 65 dB
Construction Steel frame on rolling casters
Warranty 1 year

Because the conveyor draws its power from the shredder, there is no second plug to find and no additional 220 V circuit to install — a genuine saving when the machine room is already at capacity. Do plan the footprint, though: the conveyor is over seven and a half feet long, so it extends the installed length of the 919 IS considerably and needs clear floor space plus room for the receiving container under the discharge end.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the 919 CB work with any other Dahle shredder?

No. It is engineered for the PowerTEC 919 IS and plugs into that machine for power. The PowerTEC 929 IS uses the 929 CB, which has a wider 21.5-inch belt and different frame dimensions. The 909 HS and the smaller cabinet shredders have no conveyor connection at all. If you have a 929 IS, order the 929 CB rather than trying to adapt this unit.

Does it need its own electrical circuit?

No. Dahle states the conveyor plugs directly into the PowerTEC 919 IS and requires no additional power source, so it runs off the shredder's existing 220 V three-phase supply. That removes the usual electrical work from the installation. Confirm the shredder circuit itself is correctly rated before commissioning, but you do not need to run a new drop for the conveyor.

How much floor space does it add?

The conveyor measures 92.25 x 25.75 x 50.5 inches, so it adds roughly seven feet nine inches of length to the installation, plus whatever clearance your receiving bin needs under the 50-inch discharge point. It rolls on casters, so it can be repositioned, but plan the layout before delivery: this is not a unit that tucks beside the machine.

Can the belt speed be changed?

Yes. Output speed is adjustable by dial, with a rated belt speed of 49 ft/min. Slowing the belt lets material build up and drop more evenly into a baler; running it faster clears the discharge point quickly on high-volume shredding. Dahle does not publish the full adjustment range, only the 49 ft/min rating, so we cannot state the minimum and maximum figures.

What warranty comes with it?

Dahle lists a one-year manufacturer's warranty on the 919 CB conveyor. Note that this is shorter than the coverage on Dahle shredders themselves, so the conveyor and the machine it feeds do not come off warranty at the same time. Register the unit and keep the invoice with the shredder's paperwork.
